Hi I’m Gemma, an interiors obsessed, craft loving, coffee addicted blogger, and devotee to one black moggy cat. I live with my (very patient) boyfriend who puts up with all of my mess and regularly feeds me in amidst my busy lifestyle…He’s a keeper!).
Since venturing in to the freelance world, I have gained oodles of experience working in the Art Department. I have assisted and worked on many jobs as an interior stylist, prop stylist and set dresser, and with a long visual merchandising background I’m now freelancing my life away within this creative industry.
I also love to write (and talk). I write about a lot of things but mainly I write about things that lighten up my life. I write about crafty antics and DIY’s. I write about my styling journey, photoshoots and features. I write about me.
When I’m happy, I write. When I’m feeling a bit lost, I write. When I have exciting news, I write. When I want to make others laugh, I write.
I write on crumpled up receipts which get lost in the bottom of my bag. I write ideas on beer mats in pubs and tea stained napkins in cafe’s. I write to-do lists in pretty notebooks with a pretty pen. I write dreams and goals and clip them on a clipboard. And I write on my blog, here at That’s so Gemma.
This little online space of mine is where I love to share with you all things things that make me feel warm and fuzzy, that tickle my pickle and float my boat. You’ll find DIYs and step-by-step tutorials, and no doubt you’ll quite often see my name pop up over on the Hobbycraft blog. You’ll see home decor ideas and goals of mine for when we FINALLY own our own property. You may also see the odd photobomb from my feline companion (sorry not sorry).
So, if you’re an interiors fanatic or fellow crafty bugger, then bookmark this blog and subscribe!
Join me here and follow me on my creative encounters through life. With friends, family and followers all recognising my true interests, there has always been a repeated expression that I’ve heard people chorus to me… ‘This is so you Gemma! ‘ and ‘ That’s so YOU! ‘…
…And so here I am today, now welcoming you at That’s so Gemma.
