Christmas gingerbread house making with your girls! 🏡💕Without a doubt a fab evening drinking fizz, decorating our gingerbread houses whilst eating lots of the sweets 🙊P.S. The Gingerbread house kits were only £6 from Morrisons!
Disco Balls + Christmas Trees = Magic! ✨If you haven’t already added some disco balls to your Christmas tree then run, don’t walk! 😂🪩The sparkles are EVERYTHING!
Do you decorate your bathroom for Christmas? 🎄It’s slightly controversial I know, BUT December is an important time for some well deserved, seasonal self-care! This is the first year I’ve added some festive decor to my bathroom since renovating it earlier this year, and let’s just say, I am deffo making the most of it 😂🙌Bring the spirit of Christmas into every corner of your home (yes, including your bathroom!) and allow yourself to switch off and get some much needed R&R during the busy festive season ❤️Here’s some simple ideas you can do to add some festive joy into your bathroom:- Tie simple ribbon bows around towels.
- Add some green foliage to shelves or surfaces.
- Light lots of candles with a fresh pine scent.
- Add battery powered lights to add some twinkling lights whilst you soak 🛁Treat yourself and create a cosy bathroom retreat to hide away from the busy hustle & bustle 🥰Do you add Christmas decor to your bathroom?
DIY Giant Christmas Baubles ✨🌈I did promise you all that I would share how I made these oversized Christmas baubles, so here you go!I’m so pleased with my Christmas door decorations this year, the first time I’ve been able to decorate the front of our house since renovating! All you need is:- Yoga balls
- Food containers
- Gold pipe cleaners
- Gold spray paint
- Glue dotsYou could use a stronger glue adhesive to attach the tops but I wanted to make sure I can reuse mine each year. So with the glue dots I can easily remove them and deflate the yoga balls to store them away more easily!I would also hugely recommend priming the food containers before spraying them (a step I missed and regret!), so the gold paint doesn’t peel. I’m definitely going to need to touch mine up again next year so learn from me! ☺️#diychristmasdecor #doordecoration
Ad. 3 easy Christmas hamper ideas🎁🎄I have had a lot of fun teaming up with @thejoyofplants to create these 3 hamper ideas that make the perfect Christmas gift. I personally absolutely LOVE it when I receive a hamper as it always feels like a never ending treat with lots of little surprises... It’s always like the gift that keeps on giving and I never want it to end ha!😅I’ve come up with 3 ideas so that hopefully at least one of these inspires you to create a hamper of joy for someone who is either...1. ‘The one that loves to cook’ 🍽️🌱This hamper will without a doubt be a big hit for the person who’s always in the kitchen. Herb plants are always so handy to have at hand over the Christmas period! I used fresh Thyme, Parsley, Sage & Rosemary in my hamper and my home now smells divine from the scent of them all!☺️2. ‘The one who deserves some self-care’✨🙋🏻‍♀️We all have that one friend or family member who deserves to treat themselves and take some time out. This hamper is packed full of lovely self-care items as well as a beautiful, potted Anthurium plant that symbolises positivity and good fortune... Basically, you’re sending them a hamper full of good vibes!! 🕺🏻3. ‘The one who wants to become a plant parent’ 🪴💚This is my personal favourite because I have SO many friends that are keen to introduce houseplants into their homes - but they never fully commit to buying them! This is a fool-proof plant hamper with everything they’d need to start their plant parent journey, including two low-maintenance plants (a Pothos and a Succulent) , a plant care book, and my handmade plant labels with detailed care instructions. I’m going to be sharing more about these on my stories tomorrow so watch this space👀Hopefully there’s an idea for everyone here! Now let me know in the comments which one of these you’re going to try and which one you would like to receive the most!#thejoyofplants #christmasgiftideas
Easy paper decorations tutorial! 🌈I have officially DECKED the halls in our living room and it is looking more colourful than ever! I had a LOT of fun making these DIY paper decorations to hang on my fireplace mantel decor … Would you believe I actually got all the materials to make these for Christmas last year, but after the sudden passing of Pheebs, I never got around to it…Needless to say you can make these with whatever coloured papers you’d like, to suit any Christmas colour scheme! They’re super fun & simple to make. I did mine whilst binge watching a series, listening to an 80s Christmas playlist 😂🕺🏻What colours would you choose? 😍#diychristmasdecor #christmascrafts

To mark the beginning of December I wanted to share my most popular (and personal favourite!) reel that I made last year in the run up to Christmas. 🥰I’m super proud of this one if I’m being totally honest, and figured it was definitely worth a reshare! Of course, I can’t take all the credit for this one… My furry sidekick, Digby, definitely steals the show 🐾☺️Hello December, bring on the festivities! 🙌This reel was made for a previous collaboration with @hillarysblinds ❤️#christmas #whitechristmas

Finish your table styling with lots of little vases displaying pretty flower stems. It’s all these little details that will really tie the space together. Most importantly, enjoy the process of creating your tablescape and spend some time tweaking it. Autumn Vibes 🍂Everyone who knows me will know I am a summer girly through and through. I always find Autumn to be quite subdued and somewhat (dare I say it😬) depressing… Please tell me I’m not the only one?! 😂That being said, I am in full on hot bath mode now and very much enjoying our relatively new bathroom. For those who have been around for a while, you’ll know all to well, how long I had to go without a bathtub as our house was previously a HMO with two separate shower rooms instead of a bathroom. By the time the Reno was completed we were well into the months of spring so I haven’t fully embraced the long, candlelit soaks during the darker months.Bath time for me is the only real time I give myself to switch off, collect my thoughts, manifest what I want from life and wallow my heart away. 🥰This room is also without a doubt my most proudest renovation room as I had to map it all out and plan the design without seeing the whole space as one (it was three separate rooms originally!)So as a summer girly, reluctantly transitioning into an Autumn girly (yes I know I’m 2 months too late 🤣), a bath with all the trimmings; candles, fairy lights, bath salts & flower petals is well and truly welcomed! 🛁#autumnvibes #bathroomdesign
Happy Halloween 👻🎃I’ve lost count of the amount of times there’s been a knock at my door this evening 😂 So many trick-or-treaters in my area! And I’ve even had a couple of kids tell me my house is their favourite 🥹 I’ll take a bow and accept that trophy yes PLEASE, whilst thanking Beyoncé of course ! 🏆😅Hope you’re all having a spook-tacular Halloween! 🧙‍♀️#halloween #trickortreat
Grab your paintbrushes! 🎨Would 10/10 recommend a painting party if you want something fun to do with your friends! I mean we’re definitely no Bob Ross, but it was well worth the fun & laughter… And the hangover 😂I‘ve still got to try and wash the paint out of my favourite jumper 🤪Huge thank you to @katherine.emmma for being the best host and helping us soak up the fizz with some tasty pizza 😋 Need to get another session on the diary PRONTO! 🖌️#paintingparty #wallart

Excuse me, what? 😂👌A couple of weeks ago I spent a very fun afternoon with some girlies painting pottery at @artfulpotterycafe in Worthing - and I’ve wanted a butter dish for AGES. It’s one of those things that I’ve never bought for myself but is super handy to have…Well, as soon as I saw they had butter dishes I knew it was meant to be! 🧈Cue the very long ten minutes, thinking of what on earth I wanted to paint on it - decisions, decisions.I knew I wanted stripes to match my kitchen but that’s as far as I had got…And then, it clicked! 💡The lyrics popped right into my head. Bullseye!I must say, I’m pretty darn proud of this! 😂 So glad the pencil marks came off when it was fired because believe me, I made a fair few errors… 🙊Would highly recommended taking a visit to Art-ful if you’re near the Worthing area because it was a fab afternoon. There’s tons of pottery options to paint and you can BYOB if you pay a small corkage fee. I blame the fizz for my pencil mistakes, just saying 😂#kitchendecor #potterypainting
My Halloween door display for 2024!It’s been up for a couple of weeks now and I can happily say that all ghosts haven’t yet blown away in the wind - The witches hat has gone AWOL though 😂#halloweendecor #halloween2024
How I created this Halloween mantel 👇🪄Are you ready to get spooky and add some Halloween decor into your home? For my Halloween fireplace mantel display, I used lots of decorations from previous years - with the added addition of the hanging witches hats that I picked up from @bm_stores for just £4!Here’s my top styling tips on how to create your own spooky halloween mantel:🌳 Forage a branch and display it in a vase - Leave it as it is or spray it black and add cute little bat decorations for some extra spooks!🕯️ Stagger candlesticks at different heights.🫙 Make some lotion & potion bottles from old jam jars, perfume bottles or used toiletries. You can customise little labels to make them witchy!✨ Add a garland below the mantel with an expression that suits the season.🎃 Add in some mini fabric pumpkins and place on top of books… I have a tutorial on how to make these (scroll my reels from 3 years ago!)🕷️ Dot in some little spider decoration across the mantel, and in plants as well for a creepy-crawly feel!🧙‍♀️ Finally, hang some witches hats to make a statement in the room! For more Halloween inspiration and ideas visit my blog (link in bio!)#halloweendecor #diyhalloweendecorations #spookydecor

Make a house feel like home👇This is a question I get asked a lot as an interior stylist! You may be able to create a home that looks fantastic, but how do you achieve that homely feel? 🏡1. Personalise! Firstly, don’t hold back on adding things that mean something to only you. This might be a piece of art with some song lyrics that you love, or home decor that includes your initials. There’s a reason why personalised gifts are SO popular!2. Decorate for YOU! Don’t get caught up on other people’s opinions about whether or not they like a particular paint shade you’re thinking of using. If you love it - GO FOR IT! 🙌3. Only buy things that bring you joy. Do NOT get too caught up on trends as this can not only date really quickly, but make your house feel like a show home.4. DIY/Upcycle things to make it more suited to your tastes. If you’re fallen out of love with something, is there anything you can do to give it a fresh new look?5. Use lots of soft furnishings to make your home feel cosy. Perhaps the most obvious suggestion - but not one to be overlooked!6. Fill your walls with your favourite art work. And this doesn’t need to be limited to just prints or canvases! I’ve hung a wreath that I made, a wall fan & some decorative plates from my trips to Morocco that makes my home feel more personable.7. Create a ‘hobby’ area. Somewhere you can switch off from the world and enjoy doing something you love. Maybe you’re a crafter and need a desk station, or a book lover and want a reading nook.8. Showcase family mementos or heirlooms. Things that are unique to you and your family that no one else will have in their home. Things that tell a story and have sentimental value.Let me know in the comments which one of these tips you liked the most! And for more home decor tips, head over to my blog (link in bio) or listen to my podcast @howtohome.podcast ✨#homedecorideas #homeinspiration #homedecortips #homehacks #interiorstyling #housetohome
