It’s official… Spring is here!!I’m excitedly waving goodbye to the gloomy days and saying a big HELLO to sunshine, flowers and the feeling of new beginnings. There’s something so hopeful about this time of year that makes me want to just fling open all my windows, swap out the heavy blankets, and give my home (and life) a little refresh. Here’s how I’m welcoming spring into my home:- Decluttering and refreshing with a quick tidy up (hello junk drawer!) to instantly make my space feel lighter & brighter.- Filling every room with fresh flowers. Daffodils & tulips bring so much joy! The more the merrier!- Delayering my soft furnishings & bedsheets. And switching out for lighter fabrics.- Bringing in light, happy scents. Think citrus & florals… My fave at the moment is Neroli because it reminds me of Marrakech! 🍊The sunnier months are finally on their way, and I’m so ready for them! Who else is giving their home a little spring refresh? 🏡
Ad. It’s time to wake up your houseplants from their winter slumber! 🙌🪴If your green babies have been looking a little… well, sad (we’ve all been there), don’t worry! With brighter days ahead, now is the perfect time to give them a little TLC so they can thrive in the warmer months. I’ve teamed up with @thejoyofplants to give you an essential spring plant care checklist:- Assess your houseplants’ health, look for any signs of new growth and inspect the soil & foliage. 🌱- Prune dead or damaged leaves to help redirect energy and encourage new growth! ✂️- Repot if necessary. If roots are circling the pot or growing through the drainage holes - it’s time for a new home! 🪴- Clean the foliage so the plants can photosynthesise & soak in all the sunshine. ☀️- Adjust the watering schedule as more light and warmth means thirstier plants! Check the soil more frequently to see if they need hydrating. 💦- Begin feeding with fertiliser to encourage the growing season! Giving them nutrients will help them flourish. 🌿Remember, a spring refresh for your houseplants now will set them up for the sunnier months. If you give them a little love, they’ll love you back!Get your green thumb ready and give your plants the care they deserve - because (at last!) it’s their time to shine! 😀🪴#TheJoyOfPlants #HouseplantCare #SpringPlantRefresh #HouseplantLover

Ad. Which of these Horticulture Trends for 2025 is your favourite? 🤩This year’s floral and plant trends from the Flower Council of Holland (who bring us @howflowersdothat and @thejoyofplants ) bring fresh perspectives to our spaces, reflecting our shifting world. Rooted in the zeitgeist of ‘Tilting Perspectives’, these four horticulture trends each respond to global challenges with creativity, connection and a sense of hope... The world is shifting, and so are the ways we design our homes! 🏡I have had SO much fun styling these 4 trends in my living room alcove, and each trend definitely brings its own distinct mood:Unique Utopia - A vibrant dream for the maximalists! This trend is all about escapism, bold luxury, and tropical grandeur. It’s definitely a feast for the eyes with the bright colours and exotic houseplants. 🌺Cosmic Future - A fusion of contrasts, this trend feels both futuristic and inviting. Although it’s not my home style, I really enjoyed creating a space that’s sleek, dynamic and somewhat mysterious! 🪩Slow Life: This trend is by far the furthest from my own interior style, but a joy to explore! Slow Life embraces simplicity, sustainability and a sense of calm - and Digby really took a shine to this one... Can you spot him in this reel? 👀🐾Radiant Energy: My absolute favourite! This trend bursts with positivity, colour and playfulness... It’s instantly injected (even more) energy into my home and I’ve decided it’s staying put! 🌈Hopefully this video can inspire you with ways that you can incorporate & style these trends into your own home. Each trend offers a new way to bring the outside in and reimagine how we live with plants and flowers. 🌱🌷Now for the IMPORTANT question....Which one of these trends is your favourite? 😍#horticulturetrends2025 #funnyhowflowersdothat #interiortrends #homedecorstyling #stylingmyhome
Last years biggest DIY project 🏡I’m definitely not going to be jumping at the chance to repaint the front exterior of an old Victorian house again any time in the near future (it was hard work!)… But hey, WE DID IT! 😂There was literal blo0d, sweat and tears involved but nothing beats the pride of stepping back and saying ‘We did that!’ 🙌Can you guess what’s on our renovation to-do list for this year? 👀
Hands up all my fellow home renovators! 🙋🏻‍♀️If you’re in the ‘what the f#*k have I done’ era…I FEEL YA!This time two years ago we’d not long moved in, and our kitchen was being renovated, with all the other rooms being tackled with DIY as well. I remember thinking that it was never going to end 😂There will be light at the end of the dusty, noisy (and extremely expensive!) renovation rollercoaster… I promise you!Home renovations are so bloomin’ rewarding when you start to see your hard work pay off… I’m saying this like ours is finished - it definitely isn’t 😂. But it does get to a point where it’s far more manageable & habitable.Keep thinking of the end goal, don’t lose track of your vision… Oh and drink lots of 🍷!SEO: Home improvement, colourful home inspiration, renovation reality, interiors, home decor, reno inspo.
Ad. A new year calls for new houseplants 🪴👇
Hands up if you’ve already bought a new houseplant for 2025... I know I certainly have! 🙋🏻‍♀️
To start 2025 off with a bang, I’ve teamed up with the fabulous team at @thejoyofplants to share just some of the many reasons why you should definitely be adding some leafy-green friends into your home this year.
Adding houseplants into your home isn’t just a trend - it’s a glow-up for your space AND your mood! Houseplants clean the air and boost your creativity, whilst also reducing stress and fatigue ... It really is a win win. Plus, taking care of them is basically self-care in disguise as it gives you a sense of responsibility and routine.
So, are you ready to grow into the best version of yourself in 2025? 💚🍃

It’s 9am on a Tuesday morning,Get the f#*k up, we’re going to organise,LET’S GO! 🙌These were my exact thoughts as I got up earlier today and of course, I had to make content out of it! 😅 My wardrobe has needed a good sort out / organise for a while now so it feels good to have a little January reset in here 🙌Question is, how long can I keep it looking this tidy? 👀SEO: bedroom storage, wardrobe organisation, storage ideas, bedroom wardrobe, makeup storage, clothes storage, aesthetic wardrobe, colourful bedroom, interior styling, tidy and clean, home organisation.
What do you think of my bathroom renovation? 🔨🛁We always knew that when the bathroom reno started it would cause absolute chaos in the home but the dust & upheaval was INTENSE. 😅Not to mention the daily body & hair washes via the kitchen sink, with the water regularly being turned off and running hot / cold. 🤣Was it worth it though?YES! 🙌And I am super proud of the bathroom design considering I had to measure & map it all out with 2 walls in the way and the creepy hidden window that was hard to gauge exact placement!Slowly but surely we’re turning our ex-student house into a home and my gosh, it’s SO rewarding! It’s making me excited for the plans ahead for 2025.🏡 💚SEO: Bathroom renovation, bathroom makeover, DIY, interior design, bathroom tiles, Moroccan bathroom decor, interior inspiration, room makeover, bathroom transformation, home renovation, renovation journey.#bathroomdesign #bathroomrenovation #homerenovation

Do you decorate your bathroom for Christmas? 🎄It’s slightly controversial I know, BUT December is an important time for some well deserved, seasonal self-care! This is the first year I’ve added some festive decor to my bathroom since renovating it earlier this year, and let’s just say, I am deffo making the most of it 😂🙌Bring the spirit of Christmas into every corner of your home (yes, including your bathroom!) and allow yourself to switch off and get some much needed R&R during the busy festive season ❤️Here’s some simple ideas you can do to add some festive joy into your bathroom:- Tie simple ribbon bows around towels.
- Add some green foliage to shelves or surfaces.
- Light lots of candles with a fresh pine scent.
- Add battery powered lights to add some twinkling lights whilst you soak 🛁Treat yourself and create a cosy bathroom retreat to hide away from the busy hustle & bustle 🥰Do you add Christmas decor to your bathroom?
DIY Giant Christmas Baubles ✨🌈I did promise you all that I would share how I made these oversized Christmas baubles, so here you go!I’m so pleased with my Christmas door decorations this year, the first time I’ve been able to decorate the front of our house since renovating! All you need is:- Yoga balls
- Food containers
- Gold pipe cleaners
- Gold spray paint
- Glue dotsYou could use a stronger glue adhesive to attach the tops but I wanted to make sure I can reuse mine each year. So with the glue dots I can easily remove them and deflate the yoga balls to store them away more easily!I would also hugely recommend priming the food containers before spraying them (a step I missed and regret!), so the gold paint doesn’t peel. I’m definitely going to need to touch mine up again next year so learn from me! ☺️#diychristmasdecor #doordecoration
Ad. 3 easy Christmas hamper ideas🎁🎄I have had a lot of fun teaming up with @thejoyofplants to create these 3 hamper ideas that make the perfect Christmas gift. I personally absolutely LOVE it when I receive a hamper as it always feels like a never ending treat with lots of little surprises... It’s always like the gift that keeps on giving and I never want it to end ha!😅I’ve come up with 3 ideas so that hopefully at least one of these inspires you to create a hamper of joy for someone who is either...1. ‘The one that loves to cook’ 🍽️🌱This hamper will without a doubt be a big hit for the person who’s always in the kitchen. Herb plants are always so handy to have at hand over the Christmas period! I used fresh Thyme, Parsley, Sage & Rosemary in my hamper and my home now smells divine from the scent of them all!☺️2. ‘The one who deserves some self-care’✨🙋🏻‍♀️We all have that one friend or family member who deserves to treat themselves and take some time out. This hamper is packed full of lovely self-care items as well as a beautiful, potted Anthurium plant that symbolises positivity and good fortune... Basically, you’re sending them a hamper full of good vibes!! 🕺🏻3. ‘The one who wants to become a plant parent’ 🪴💚This is my personal favourite because I have SO many friends that are keen to introduce houseplants into their homes - but they never fully commit to buying them! This is a fool-proof plant hamper with everything they’d need to start their plant parent journey, including two low-maintenance plants (a Pothos and a Succulent) , a plant care book, and my handmade plant labels with detailed care instructions. I’m going to be sharing more about these on my stories tomorrow so watch this space👀Hopefully there’s an idea for everyone here! Now let me know in the comments which one of these you’re going to try and which one you would like to receive the most!#thejoyofplants #christmasgiftideas
Easy paper decorations tutorial! 🌈I have officially DECKED the halls in our living room and it is looking more colourful than ever! I had a LOT of fun making these DIY paper decorations to hang on my fireplace mantel decor … Would you believe I actually got all the materials to make these for Christmas last year, but after the sudden passing of Pheebs, I never got around to it…Needless to say you can make these with whatever coloured papers you’d like, to suit any Christmas colour scheme! They’re super fun & simple to make. I did mine whilst binge watching a series, listening to an 80s Christmas playlist 😂🕺🏻What colours would you choose? 😍#diychristmasdecor #christmascrafts

Ad. Festive & Floral table styling ideas 🌸🌲After going to the amazing Blooms & Baubles Christmas workshop event last week with @howflowersdothat , I have been feeling super inspired to create a floral, Christmas table top display to pass some of the inspiration on to you! 🤩Flowers bring so much joy to any home, so why not treat your guests this festive season with an extra special Christmas table, with lots of colourful flowers. Here’s 4 easy ideas that you can use to copy this look:1. Hang a floral wreath. Adding a wreath on the wall next to your table will help to zone the dining space so that you and your guests are fully immersed and enjoy the ‘wow’ factor.2. Make festive, floral tree cones to create a table centrepiece. I am going to be sharing my step-by-step tutorial on how to make one of these in my stories tomorrow, so watch this space. 👀3. Use my clever napkin folding hack to create a little pocket to add some floral stems. Top tip: you can also include a place setting name and an after dinner mint for extra kudos!4. Finish your table styling with lots of little vases displaying pretty flower stems. It’s all these little details that will really tie the space together. Most importantly, enjoy the process of creating your tablescape and spend some time tweaking it.
