Make & Create: Lavender Sachets with Laura Ashley

It’s been a while since I got my hands on some beautiful Laura Ashley fabrics, so you can imagine how excited I was when Laura Ashley asked me to work with them and make something crafty using their new SS16 fabric collection.  Along with a hankering to make some gorgeous scented Lavender Sachets, I just knew it was the perfect combination.

For a while now I’ve wanted to scent my drawers and wardrobe with some liners/sachets to freshen up that ‘cupboard smell’. So of course, me being me I saw this as an opportunity for another crafty make! I’ve always loved the smell of Lavender. I remember the strong floral smell from when I was younger when we had a Lavender bush growing in our back garden, and my Mum would pick me a few stems to sprinkle in my bath before bedtime. It always fascinates me that the sense of a smell can trigger such strong memories.

So now I’m over the moon to have the most beautiful Lavender scented sachets hanging proudly in the new Sandford and Farnworth Stripe prints.

You can find my full step by step tutorial on how to make these sachets on the Laura Ashley blog here , or follow the link below.
