VISUAL MERCHANDISING
From November 2011 to March 2016, I worked as a Visual Merchandiser for home interior stores including Laura Ashley and Zara Home. My role was to create aesthetically pleasing window displays and table displays whilst using suitable products that best portray the brand image, ensuring to maintain a consistency throughout the store. Along with replenishing products at all times, it was my duty to trackĀ current best selling products and highlight to all other members of staff the stock rotations, to then identify any changes that needed to be altered in order to heighten sales and achieve KPI targets.
Throughout the five years, I grew a passion and love for home interiors. Creating displays and interior set designs led me to acknowledge my new goals and ambitions for furthering my career within interiors. Creating dining table displays, living room sets and mastering the art of making the perfect bed was just the beginning for me. I like to put my full passion in to all of my work, and being a very creative person, I found that it was clear what my heart was fully set on. Visual merchandising has been the most fantastic stepping stone for me now venturing forward in to the world of freelance, furthering my experience in visual merchandising, interior styling, prop styling and set dressing.
