DIY Painted Plant Pots
I’m back with another fun and quick craft for you all! Plant pots can end up quite costly, especially when you have a fair few to get, which is why I’ve come up with with these cost-effective DIY painted plant pots!
DIY Painted Plant Pots
I recently re-potted a lot of my plants as they were in need of a little TLC, and I want them to grow larger. All of a sudden I had an abundance of plants without nice pots big enough for them to sit in. I love pretty, decorative plant pots, but when you need to buy them in bulk it can be quite costly. So, I decided to buy some cheap terracotta pots and paint them myself.
Not only was it fun to do, but it ended up costing a fraction of the price I would have paid if buying them from a retailer. It’s an easy & quick craft to do, and perfect for the little ones too!
You Will Need:
- Terracotta pots (mine were from The Range)
- Acrylic paints of your choice
- Paintbrushes
- A creative eye!
All you simply need to do is be creative with your ideas. Paint on a base colour (mine was white), let dry and then add some pattern and colour. I genuinely had no idea how mine was going to turn out, and very much enjoyed that.
Here’s my recent IGTV of them in the making. Hopefully this can inspire you to be creative and open minded about yours too!

And it really is as simple as that. My plants are now flourishing and looking rather fancy in their new homes!
