FAQs

What does an interior stylist do?

An interior stylist is responsible for bringing creative concepts to life for photography, video, TV, events, and brand campaigns. This includes overseeing set design, working closely with set builders and decorators, sourcing props and furniture, and planning the logistics of a shoot so everything runs smoothly. The role goes far beyond simply choosing cushions or accessories, it’s about creating an environment that tells a story, communicates a brand’s message, and looks flawless on camera.

Why should a brand book an interior stylist?

Working with an interior stylist ensures your brand visuals are not only beautiful, but also strategically aligned with your message. A stylist takes your products beyond the studio, creating inspiring lifestyle settings that show customers how your pieces work in real homes. This helps build emotional connection and increases engagement.

From a production perspective, an interior stylist also manages the set design, prop sourcing, and shoot logistics, so your campaign runs smoothly from start to finish. Instead of simply photographing products, a stylist tells a story around them, making your campaign stand out, feel aspirational, and resonate with your audience.

Can you tell me about your background in styling?

After five years working as a Visual Merchandiser for nationwide home décor brands, I took the plunge in 2015 to go solo in the interiors industry. Since then, I’ve built my career as an interior stylist, art director, and design producer, working across commercial and editorial shoots, brand campaigns, and TV productions.

My background combines hands-on styling with overseeing set design, logistics, and creative direction, which means I can deliver both the visual detail and the bigger-picture production management. My portfolio includes styling monthly cover features for Ideal Home Magazine, styling photography & video for leading homeware brands such as Habitat, La Redoute, and Hillarys, and working as Art Director on Sort Your Life Out and The Great Home Transformation. I’ve also been a Design Producer on Flat Out Fabulous and The Big Interiors Battle.

Where are you based, and do you travel for projects?

I’m based in Worthing, but my work regularly takes me across London, Sussex, and the wider UK. I’m also happy to travel nationally and internationally if required!

What services do you offer?

I provide a wide range of creative services across interiors, media, and events. My work includes interior styling and shoot production, where I oversee set design, source props, and coordinate logistics to ensure shoots run smoothly and deliver stunning results. I also provide creative direction for brand campaigns, managing everything from the concept to the final visuals.

Alongside this, I work on residential and commercial interior design projects, event design and styling, and TV art direction and design producing. I also co-host the How to Home podcast and run interactive workshops to share my styling expertise with both individuals and brands. Each service is tailored to suit the unique needs of clients, whether that’s a one-off campaign, an ongoing collaboration, or a home transformation.

How does the interior styling process work?

Every project starts with a consultation to understand the goals and creative brief. From there, I create mood boards, source props, and plan logistics to ensure everything is in place for the day of the shoot or installation. On set, I oversee styling, work with builders and decorators, and coordinate with photographers or production teams to bring the vision to life. The process is hands-on and highly collaborative, ensuring the final result meets both creative and practical needs.

Do you provide furniture and props?

I can handle the full sourcing, hire, or purchase of furniture, props, and accessories for shoots and styling projects. Over the years I’ve built strong relationships with suppliers, makers, and hire companies, giving me access to a wide range of looks and budgets. This means clients don’t need to worry about finding items, I ensure every piece is selected to fit the brief perfectly.

Do I need an interior stylist or an interior designer?

An interior designer usually focuses on the long-term structure and layout of a home or commercial space with things like floor plans, lighting design, and bespoke joinery. An interior stylist, particularly in shoots and campaigns, manages the visual direction, set design, prop sourcing, and shoot logistics to ensure the end result is both striking and production-ready. If you’re renovating your home, a designer might be the right fit. But if you’re a brand, media outlet, or TV company looking to create engaging visuals, an interior stylist is essential. Many of my projects involve combining the two skill sets, ensuring both functionality and visual impact.

Do you collaborate with brands on campaigns?

Yes. I create bespoke, brand-led content that aligns with your key messaging and campaign goals. This content is styled, produced, and then shared across my platforms in a way that feels unique, creative, and engaging. My experience in interior styling and production ensures branded collaborations look professional while standing out from the crowd.

Where can I view your portfolio of work?

You can explore examples of my styling, shoot production, and design work on my Portfolio page. The portfolio includes a wide range of projects, from brand campaigns, editorial features to event styling.

It’s updated regularly with new work, so it’s the best place to see the variety of projects I’ve been involved in. You can also view my full list of television credits here.

How can I get in touch with you?

The easiest way to contact me is through my Contact page. There you’ll find a form to send me details about your project, whether it’s an interiors brief, a photoshoot, or a potential collaboration.

I always aim to reply quickly and provide initial guidance or next steps. If your enquiry is time-sensitive, just let me know and I’ll do my best to prioritise it. From there, we can arrange a consultation or call to discuss your ideas in more detail.

How much does it cost to hire you?

Every project is unique, so costs depend on the size and scope of work. For shoots, this may include set design, sourcing, and logistics planning, while for interior projects it may involve full room design or styling. I always provide a clear proposal and quote upfront, tailored to your needs and budget.

How far in advance should I book you?

Ideally, it’s best to book as early as possible, particularly for TV shows, brand campaigns, and large-scale events, which often require detailed planning and coordination. Securing a date in advance also ensures I can give your project the time and attention it deserves.

That said, I understand that some opportunities arise last-minute. I do take on short-notice projects where possible, so even if your deadline is fast-approaching, it’s always worth reaching out to check my availability.
