Flashback through October

Before you say it, yes I am aware that it is the 5th of November (remember remember), and I am delivering this post to you five days late. Uh huh. To be honest, I think it has actually be a couple of months since I last did a complete Flashback post. Where.Does.Time.Go?

I have had the most wonderful week this week assisting on a shoot for Clarke & Clarke in Rochester. We stayed in The Ship and Trades hotel for two nights and didn’t arrive back until late last night, hence why I have been off the radar. It was an extremely successful shoot, even if we were feeling a little fuzzy yesterday after drinking more prosecco than I wish to admit. Totally worth it though…

So, October was a month for progression, confession and slight obsession. Let me explain…

Progression

clarke and clarke

Work could not be going better for me at the moment. I can honestly say that I am the happiest that I have been in a very long time and I just feel like I am currently winning at life. I am meeting some of the most inspiring and kind people, working in tons of beautiful, huge location homes and ultimately, I am enjoying what I do. I feel important, I feel like I am needed, and I feel like I am actually going somewhere. Every week I am on a different shoot for a different company, doing different things and meeting different people… I have never and will never be a fan of a routined schedule so this just fits.

I am learning so much about this industry and love how welcoming and kind everyone has been to me in the freelance community, it really is all for one and one for all.

photoshoot

Last week I styled my second solo shoot all by myself for Ruark Audio (post to come soon!) and it resulted in me getting my first official client when they confirmed that they loved the outcome and will definitely be contacting me again in the future. Mind blown. I am doing it!

So yeah, that’s progression alright…

Confession

pumpkin, munchkin, gord

So I thought I would ease into this section with a cute picture of a munchkin pumpkin that I spotted on a shoot.

Confession time, as you all know it, I currently SUCK at blogging.

I have so many craft tutorials that I want make. I have tons of ideas that I want to share. I have so many posts that I want to write. But, I just don’t have time and that makes me SUCK.

I am doing as much as I can and that is all I can do. At the moment I am really focusing on work and putting all of my dedication into building my career, which has left my little blog somewhat neglected. I do however have some very exciting crafty news coming up BUT I can’t share it with you yet until it goes live… I’m super excited about it and I cannot wait to share it with you all!

So yeah, confessions are tough… However, over the Christmas period my work schedule wont be quite as hectic so I’ll be spamming you all with new makes and posts!

Obsession

succulent plants

Yeahp, you’ve guessed it. Plants.

In October my obsession for collecting rare, unique house plants and succulents got a little out of control, but I just can’t get enough of them! I have one more plant on my wish list which is currently teeny weeny and growing at the suppliers home before being sold to me. It has my name on it and I can’t wait to get it!

Then that’s it I swear. No more ‘just one more’. My craft room is rocking the jungle look but I really can’t excuse buying anymore…At least not until I know I can fully dedicate myself to looking after my current collection without killing them.

October you rocked!! I still can’t quite comprehend that we are well on the way to Christmas – can you believe that advent is just 25 days away? Arghh!

For now my lovelies I will leave you with some of my favourite snaps from October…
